Lovely song by Oasis called Don't Go Away. I listened to it a lot while drawing this one
So anyway...
I REALLY like this picture. It has a lot of meaning behind it I suppose. You see, the guy really liked the girl but the girl only sees him as a friend. Eventually bad shit goes down and their friendship was over before he could establish a future with her.
He grabs her hand to make her stay; the one girl who was sweet enough to forgive him for his past goof ups. She needs to move on but she fears for his feelings being hurt.
He realizes this and knows that he must give up, for it's not meant to be. A valuable friendship is worth much more than a one sided relationship.
She nearly crosses the bridge, to her own side and isolation form this love crazed fool. But she hesitates. What is stopping her from crossing?
He decides to let go of her. She leaves worrying for his heart. And that worry only wrecks the boy's heart further. This caring that he longed for, he finally found, yet he was unable to obtain it.
But a friendship with a beautiful and caring woman still remains...
